What are the responsibilities and job description for the Timekeeper position at Turner Industries?
Turner Industries has an immediate need for a Timekeeper to join our team in Saraland, AL for a maintenance position.
- Must have prior industrial Timekeeping experience.
- Track or CDMS experience preferred.
- Must be able to pass credit and criminal background check.
- Must be able to pass timekeeping aptitude test.
- Should possess strong Excel skills.
- Experience in Enterprise One (E1) or JDE a plus.
- Must be detail oriented.
- May occasionally be required to work additional hours due to increase in manpower or workload.
Description:
Compiles time records, reviews and balances timesheets using time clock or other means of In/Out times by workers, work charts
Functional Requirements:
Computes total time worked by employees by calculating daily/weekly hours using time clock data or other means of in/out times based on assigned schedule; balances hours calculated on daily/weekly basis; enters time entry into designated software for payroll submission; may track additional data needed for contract compliance; may assist with spreadsheets and other software; may interview employees to discuss hours worked and pay adjustments to be made; may review other's work for accuracy; apply basic recordkeeping and other procedures for concentrating on details; completes and files jobsite and corporate paperwork; performs additional assignments as required.
Qualification Standards:
- Knowledge of computers, MS Office, and menu driven applications
- Strong MS Excel skills, knowledge of pivot tables and VLOOKUP a plus
- Knowledge of E1/ JD Edwards, preferred
- Must posses excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills
- Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
Physical Involvement:
Employee may be required to do the following: reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movement of eyes, hands and fingers to operate machines and equipment; lifting from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; following oral and/or written directions; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards.
Work Environment Factors:
- Location: industrial sites and/or office environment
- Mobility Barriers to Access Job Site: uneven ground levels; obstructed pathways
- Climatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site: predominately indoor climate; various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc.; potential exposure to chemical substances
