Turner Industries Group, LLC has an opening for a Turnaround Planner/ Coordinator in the Mont Belvieu, TX area. This position supports the turnaround planning team to identify, plan maintenance repairs and new construction activities that cannot be completed in an operating plant. Relevant experience with mechanical systems such as piping, steel, and process equipment is a key factor in applicant selection.
Primary responsibilities and tasks: (other duties as assigned)
- Use client ERP systems to identify upcoming installations, maintenance, and repairs
- Perform job-walks and work collaboratively with respective discipline Subject Matter experts to develop job steps (activities), craft breakdown and man-hours required, including WPQR's
- Perform material take-offs of new installation, repair, or replace-in-kind work
- Estimate scope of work in terms of direct craft labor hours and duration
- Determine resource and skill requirements for scope of work
- Determine options for scope of work and present scenarios of compatible work packages or combinations of similar scope to the client
- Document expectations of resource utilization and timing in client's ERP system
- Monitor and document progress of the scope of work within the client's ERP system
- Prepare subcontractor work packages for the bid process and work execution
- Once event begins, shift into role of primary POC for multiple contractors performing work
Pre-employment preferred work experience:
- Must have a strong background in both piping and structural work scope planning
- Minimum 1 year of experience with applications in the MS Office Suite
- Minimum 2 years of experience using CMMS software such as SAP or Maximo
- Minimum 5 years of jobsiteexperience with some mechanical craftexperience. (NCCER certification, craft journeyman, or foreman in industrial construction or maintenance turnarounds is an additional benefit)
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a planner and worked at least 2 outages or turnarounds
- Ability to estimate material and labor quantities from industrial construction drawings for multiple craft disciplines
- Preferred: familiarity with Turner Applications, WinTake, QuickPlan, and PCS
Additional requirements:
- Ability to read and write in the English language
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
- Possess average communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem- solving skills
- Successfully complete post-employment-offer drug and alcohol screen and physical evaluation

- Successfully complete Planner Skills Assessment test
- Must have are or meet the requirements to receive a TWIC card
