EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Must be 18 years of age or older. Previous bartending experience is helpful
SUMMARY
The Bar Back is responsible for stocking each bar area. They work closely with the Bartenders and Bar Supervisors with the day-to-day operations which include inventory, transporting liquor to required locations, filling ice, cleaning etc.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Assist the Bartender and Wait Staff as requested
- Complete position related paperwork reporting
- Ensure security of all locked doors in the bar or liquor storage areas
- Fill all ice bins, condiment trays, and coffeepots
- Monitor and change beer kegs, bag-in-a-box beverages, and CO 2 tanks
- Assist in monitoring product inventory levels and stock room conditions
- Clean, organize and stock all beer and liquor in bars, bar storage areas, and all coolers
- Put away all stock deliveries immediately; dry stock, perishables, and liquor
- Change and remove empty cans/bottles container bags from bar
- Stand in for Bartender for short duration of time when necessary
- Stock and fill all coffee brewers and coffee stations
- Assist with emptying trash and take out to dumpster
- Verify Identification as well as conduct assessments in relation to intoxication levels of patrons
- Willingness to cross-train and provide support in related areas of operations.
- Other related duties as assigned.

- Promptness and ease of adjustment to the work environment and flexibility to change are essential in this position
- Must possess exceptional math and currency skills
- Possession of a current TIPS card or attend the mandatory TIPS training
- Must be adaptable to formulate productive use of down time

CO 2 tanks, Liquor dispensing system, microwave and kitchen utensils
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- May be required to lift up to 75 lbs. and be able to stand and/or walk through out entire shift
- May also be required to reach, bend, stretch, kneel, crawl, lift and carry
- Must have good grooming habits and manners
TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to effectively handle stressful and compromising situations
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, stressful atmosphere, having the ability to deal with difficult situations and people without losing perspective while remaining focused positive and professional
- Must be able to work productively under strict time restraints with variable deadlines

WORKING CONDITIONS
- Must be able and willing to work in a crowded, loud, smoking environment and may be required to work in a confined space
- Must be able to handle being under constant surveillance
- Must practice all safety policies, procedures and standards as set by OSHA and Health Dept.
- Must be in work station @ scheduled time and in proper uniform
- Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays and special events etc.
COMMENTS

- Must be able to pass a background investigation and a drug urinalysis as a condition of employment
- Must be able to work flexible hours and to take on additional responsibilities when asked
- Must adhere to company policies regarding strict confidentiality
