Position Summary:
The Purchasing Analyst will support the Supply Chain team in daily functions related to submitting POs, communicating with outside vendors for order status and relaying delays to the internal Tuuci team. Submits performance data of vendors to VP of Supply Chain for review to potentially impact future selection of materials and suppliers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Initiates purchase orders and contracts for parts, services, and/or special tools.
- Secures and analyzes quotes, negotiates price, transportation, and terms with suppliers. Recommends suppliers with respect to cost, quality, and delivery competitiveness.
- Partners with Sales and Customer Service teams to ensure inventory is on hand for Customer Orders.
- Arranges for submission and inspection of sample products as required. Closely coordinates with TUUCI Engineering and Quality Control to assure accuracy of parts purchased.
- Research market prices, trends, engineering developments and manufacturing methods and suggests improvements when applicable.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred from an accredited institution (Supply Chain, Business, or related field highly desirable). Minimum of 3 years of experience on a Supply Chain/Logistics team in a manufacturing environment. Technical and business writing skills. Demonstrated decision-making, problem-solving, organizational and systems-related skills.
Fluent in both English and Spanish preferred with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a business setting. Excellent follow up, time management and communications skills are required. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP system management are required.
