Plant Operator
TWI is seeking success driven, energetic & creative individuals to play an important role helping our facility meet our growing demand.
TWI is a manufacturer of various building products in Eustis, FL.
Summary: TWI is seeking candidates to help us improve our processes to operate in the most efficient manner possible. The Plant Operator will work with the other plant operators and plant management to ensure Safety, Quality & Productivity goals are achieved.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Identify safety hazards and take appropriate action to remove or eliminate hazards.
- Operate various batching process production machinery (we will train the candidate on the job).
- Operate a forklift (we will train and certify the candidate on operation of the lift).
- Routine general plant maintenance task assistance (PM's, troubleshooting & simple repairs).
- Plant housekeeping tasks (sweep floors, clean production machinery and other areas as needed).
- Accurate and timely recording of various plant data for production/batch records.
- Quality testing for various product properties (key measures)
- Work in accordance with assigned roles, responsibilities & expectations as defined by management.
Preferred Education and/or Work Experience:
- Plant operating experience with a batching process
- General plant maintenance including preventative and basic troubleshooting of equipment.
- High school diploma
- Data collection and reporting
- Basic computer application familiarity
- Ability to take direction and complete tasks with minimal oversight
- Ability to operate a forklift (propane powered)
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Work is to be performed at the plant.
- Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures. PPE personal protective equipment is required (Steel toed shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection as needed [Safety Glasses and Hearing protection supplies are provided by the Company])
- Must have the ability to sit, stoop, kneel, bend, stand, or walk for 8-12 hours per day.
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 70 pounds.
