Lead Electrical Engineering Technician (exp. testing electronic components req.) Description
Our client is looking for a Lead Electrical Engineering Technician to add to their team in Woburn, MA. In this role, you’ll be the leader of processes, not people. So, if you are looking for a role that offers more visibility and impact on defining procedures without having direct reports to also focus on, this is a great opportunity. This position was created to organize documentation, support cross-product training, and establish best practices for testing and tooling. You will be instrumental in the development of assembly and test procedures, the design of electronic test fixtures, and the assembly and testing of low-volume complex electronic systems. So, if you are looking for a position where you will sit on a stool and test all day, this wouldn’t be a good fit. If you want to lead the creation of new processes while putting best practices in motion, this could be an excellent fit. This is a small, tight-knit team where you will wear a lot of hats and will never be looked to as just another cog in the machine. That’s why our client is looking for a candidate who enjoys diversity in their workload and identifies as more of a “jack of all trades” and not just an expert in one. You will benefit from a more flexible (private company), relaxed (no dress code) environment with many team members who have tremendous tenure. The VP of Engineering has been there for over 30 years! And unlike other small companies, they continue to be mindful of the market and remain competitive in terms of compensation to retain their talent. Ultimately, if you are looking to join a stable company that truly values its team members, this could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.
