Location: outside (west) of Torrance, CA
Salary: $95,000 - $115,000 Benefits

Typical Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM; 40 hr./wk. only!

Mechanical Engineer (CNC Machine Exp. Req.) Description
Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team just west of Torrance, California. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will evaluate customer drawings, models, and specifications to determine optimal machining processes. You will work in a hands-on, collaborative environment with the shop team (10) to ensure the creation and implementation of lean plans. Beyond the bullets below, our client is looking for someone with great written and verbal communication skills, as this is a client-facing position. Approximately 60% of your time will be spent on the shop floor, working with the team on production, and the remainder will be spent working at your desk to ensure proper output documentation. Mechanical Engineer (CNC Machine Exp. Req.) Responsibilities
Install and service custom machine tools
Provide expert technical support to technicians (team of 4)
Develop and maintain process routings
Support QE in inspection process development and tooling requests
Identify and implement process improvements
Provide daily technical support to shop floor personnel
Quote work, ensuring profitability and on-time delivery
Support root cause analysis
Review legacy parts to ensure adherence to current standards
Troubleshoot production floor issues with cell leader/process specialist
Mechanical Engineer (CNC Machine Exp. Req.) Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field required
4 years of CNC machine engineering experience required
Basic understanding of electrical schematics and PLCs required
Ability to read and interpret blueprints required
AutoCAD Software Experience Required
