Job Description
You will be responsible for conceptualizing and crafting innovative creative solutions at scale that define the Twitter experience for our customers with minimal oversight.
You will be a hands-on creative lead with a strong POV informed by trends and global culture, maintaining a high bar for outstanding craftsmanship while applying detailed product thinking to drive projects from conception to launch.
You will own the art direction of our creative systems, working with a team of designers and artists to build compelling and consistent visual design.
You will have a central role in the design, development, and delivery of Twitter’s business and consumer product offerings.
You will prepare work for design reviews with senior partners, collecting feedback, and ensuring work aligns with business objectives.
You will collaborate with a diverse team of brilliant creatives and lead external studios to deliver visually compelling end-to-end experiences, ensuring accurate implementation is carried through the development process.
You will work closely with cross-functional partners to find opportunity areas, collaboratively problem solve, and complete creative solutions.
You will collaborate with designers, creatives, and engineers across all of our product surfaces and marketing product to bring consistency, simplicity, and delight to the Twitter experience.
You will work closely with engineering leads to ensure our mobile and web experiences are implemented to the highest quality and help us achieve our strategic design vision.
You will advocate for our customers, integrating research insights, technical constraints, and business needs into clear and creative solutions shared across the organization.
You will build innovative concepts, implement, and iterate to push the boundaries of creative design.

You are an authority and passionate Art Director with deep knowledge of how creative craft and technology come together.
You are a strategic problem solver with high standards for crafting elegant design solutions and practice well-rounded thinking.
You work closely with leadership and XFN peers to build alignment around a vision and advocate for creative.
You proactively communicate with creative leads and senior partners to synthesize project progress and offer strategic solutions for creative challenges.
You have a strong sense of mobile and web design and what it takes to implement and scale your designs from a global perspective.
You enjoy partnering with and mentoring team members in adjacent fields, breaking down silos between teams using excellent communication and facilitation skills.
You are at ease visualizing and driving a vision autonomously through the creative review process into motion deliverables and building with engineering teams.
You are capable of crafting a story over a complex product landscape, and collaborating with diverse teams on product challenges.
You possess a deep dedication to meeting customer needs with the ability to implement across a broad range of styles.
You are comfortable working with external agencies to craft high-quality visual assets with technical constraints in mind.
You have crafted frameworks for design that scale across multiple products and leave room to evolve and grow.
Requirements
7-10 years of validated expertise crafting products for mobile and desktop
5 years professional experience as an art director or similar creative role
Proficiency in Adobe Suite creation tools like Illustrator and Photoshop
Proficiency in UX design tools like Figma and Framer
Guide organizational, time management, and communication skills
Experience working with and contributing to design systems and componentization
Experience working with illustrator and animators
Strong cross-functional collaboration, communication, and presentation skills
Detail oriented with a strong collaborative work style
Proactive mentality, effective independently and as part of a team with a desire to learn, guide, and teach
Knowledge of inclusive design principles and standard methodologies supporting accessibility compliance
