The Coordinator of ECHS Enrollment is a full-time, twelve-month professional staff position providing coordination and successful implementation of the Early College High School program for the TJC campus and at the Early College High Schools, as well as all student initiatives that help prepare the students for college courses. This position is responsible to the Director of School Partnerships and works closely with the Early College High School Principals and Counselors, Director of Advising, as well as the TJC academic Deans and Department Chairs. This position will involve some evening and/or weekend work hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Serves as a liaison for the assigned ECHS partners.
2. Coordinates with the partnering schools the successful implementation of the Instructional Plan, and all student initiatives that help prepare the students for college courses.
3. Assists with the application, promotion, and implementation of the programmatic initiatives for current early college high schools, as requested.
4. Coordinates the successful implementation of ECHS courses and all student initiatives that help prepare the students for college courses.
5. Collaborates with TJC faculty and staff designated to provide instruction and support services for academic and student initiatives and activities.
6. Responsible for on-time scheduling and registration of all ECHS students.
7. Serves as the primary contact for hiring of new ECHS faculty.
8. Assists with professional development activities for the ECHS and higher education faculty and for all staff designated to participate in ECHS initiatives.
9. Develops the ECHS schedules of TJC courses at the ECHS and on the TJC Campus.
10. Assists with advising of early college students based on their selected major and career path.
11. Reviews degree time-to-completion for all ECHS students, and works with each ECHS to create and implement a plan of success for each student.
12. Provides student access to support services such as career planning, disability services, transcripts, and tutoring to guide them through their selected degree pathway and course schedule.
13. Coordinates the course schedules and helps with the recovery of all cost agreements associated with the use of TJC faculty.
14. Develops and manages the implementation of Summer Bridge program activities for ECHS partners, and assists with other college related events.
15. Provides seminars to students and high school administrators, teachers, and staff on higher education processes, including safety guidelines.
16. Maintains and organizes data as needed, and assists in the interpretation and presentation of appropriate data.
17. Attends leadership meetings with high school staff and administrators to ensure all eligible students are in line with their selected pathway.
18. Provides support to schools with parental involvement projects including presentations on college admissions, requirements and program expectations.
19. Reviews the student cohort lists on the student information system to ensure that they have the appropriate attribute for purposes of identification and internal processing.
20. Represents the College at local, state and national conferences and other events.
21. Maintains knowledge of the College’s programs, policies, procedures, academic standards, admissions process, entrance tests, degree plans, and courses.
22. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s degree required
2. Must have excellent interpersonal, counseling and communication skills.
3. Three years’ experience in related field preferred. (Concentration in student services, counseling or recruitment highly desirable).
4. Must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record due to travel requirements.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. Excellent written, presentation, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
2. Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
3. Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, the Windows environment, and internet research skills.
4. Excellent counseling and advising skills.
5. Knowledge of specific needs for Special Populations.
6. Bilingual, English/Spanish, preferred.
7. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment.
8. Ability to prioritize, organize, and complete multiple tasks with attention to detail, within stated deadlines.
9. Ability to adapt to constant change and periods of fast-paced, high-intensity work situations.
10. Ability to work evenings and/or weekends as needed; willing to travel throughout the college district using own means of reliable transportation.
11. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a diverse, multi-cultural student population.
12. Demonstrated commitment to achieving the vision and mission of Tyler Junior College.
13. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
14. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
15. Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from executive management, faculty, staff, students and public groups.
16. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
17. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $30,048.00 per year
