Job Title: HR Coordinator, Talent & Compensation

This role will provide support to the Human Resources department by assisting in areas such as recruitment and selection, onboarding, electronic document management and special projects as assigned while upholding a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and DUTIES
Talent Acquisition Support

  • Assist with recruitment and selection activities including posting of available positions and screening job applicants based on key identifiers as assigned.
  • Answer questions regarding open positions, hiring processes and other pertinent information.
  • Prepare and set up for new employee orientations.
  • Gather personnel records from other departments or employees.
  • Interview job applicants to obtain and verify information used to screen and evaluate them.
  • Process and review employment applications to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants.
  • Arrange for advertising or posting of job vacancies and notify eligible workers of position availability.
  • Coordinate keys, badges and perform other new-hire related duties.
  • Coordinate logistics, including conference room reservation and media equipment for in-house and external recruitment and/or onboarding activities.
  • Send interview invitations, coordinate in-person interview logistics and communicate with all applicants on position status as requested or as assigned.

Human Resources Office Support

  • Greet walk-ins to the Human Resources department, determining reason for their visit and assessing urgency; assist in arranging for the resolution of their request either through scheduling time with the HR professional needed or by providing the information or documents personally.
  • Answer Human Resources phone lines, assisting with screening calls and taking messages.
  • Process, verify, and maintain personnel related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations,
  • Record data for each employee.
  • Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants.
  • Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities.
  • Process new hire background screenings, as required.
  • Provide exceptional internal and external customer service by providing timely, accurate information in response to HR-related inquiries or requests.
  • Manage shared HR inbox.
  • Order all office supplies for department and maintain supply of all routinely used supplies.
  • Perform various administrative and general office duties and various other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.
  • Maintain all employment records in the electronic document management system.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all employment information and comply with all mandated privacy requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to successfully manage multiple tasks with multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills with the ability to create and maintain solid working relationships within the department and across the organization.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and/or proprietary information.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high quality work under pressure and within designated deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction to complete personal goals and as a team member in order to accomplish department goals.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required

  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • One (1) to three (3) years’ experience providing administrative support in Human Resources, Recruitment, or general office environment.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish, verbal and written.
