We are seeking a dedicated and skilled TORTILLA MAKER to join our team at TZUCO. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Mexican cuisine and have experience in traditional tortilla making. This role is essential to ensuring our guests receive the highest quality tortillas as part of their dining experience.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook tortillas on a comal according to traditional Mexican methods.
- Ensure the consistent quality and taste of tortillas, maintaining high standards of food preparation.
- Measure and mix ingredients to prepare masa for tortillas.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate with management regarding supply needs.
- Assist with other kitchen duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in making tortillas or working in a Mexican kitchen is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of traditional Mexican cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
