U Drive Phoenix is seeking a General Manager (GM) to manage all store operations and auto sales / loan originations for a multiple location dealership in the Phoenix area. The GM will be responsible for creating an exceptional associate and customer experience aligned with U Drive’s culture.
U Drive Phoenix is part of a nationally growing independent dealership group that specializes in helping credit challenged individuals purchase and finance a vehicle through U Drive Acceptance. U Drive originated loans thru its dealerships and services the loans to help its customers to have a successful experience and build their credit.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Management of total store operations including associate development, profitability, customer satisfaction with a concentration on the sales/ loan origination.
- Displays fiscal responsibility through P&L management
- Oversee the procurement and reconditioning of inventory for retail sales
- Supervise service center to ensure vehicles are ready for sale and customer repairs and services are completed in a timely manner.
- Lead the sales team to ensure monthly sales goals are met
- Ensure all originated auto loans are complete and compliant with all stipulations satisfied
- Know and implement dealership policies and procedures.
- Work with senior management to ensure marketing, sales leads, deal closing meet corporate metrics to ensure sales budgets are met
- Interviews, hires, trains and promotes associates to support store operations and company growth
- Be knowledgeable of state regulations regarding finance and the fair credit reporting act.
- Ensures positive associate engagement and associate development through timely and effective feedback
- Champions and implements both company and store initiatives for consistent execution and continuous improvement
- Manages daily store operations by interpreting, communicating and executing policies and procedures
- Resolves customer and associate issues

Education and/or Experience:
- 5 years management experience, auto retail management experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree a plus
- Intermediate PC skills
