What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chef position at U G B?
We are looking for a creative, motivated Chef to join an already established kitchen.
We're looking for someone who can continue to educate, mentor, and encourage excellence in all aspects of the kitchen. Candidate must have strong organizational skills, great culinary vision, ability to command a brigade and most of all be able to cook. Experience and/or culinary education is a must, A good work ethic, and references are also a must.
Must have:
Creative flair and an eye for plating
Excellent management, organization, and communication skills
Working knowledge and understanding of how payroll works
Basic accounting skills to keep track of the kitchen expenses
Ordering experience of food products and food-related products
A piece of sound knowledge about the safety and health guidelines
Ability to schedule and coordinate proper staffing to maximize productivity and profitability.
Create original menu items and sample menus for special event requests in a timely manner.
A team player...
