Clarification from the agency
U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
Duties- Incumbent reports to the Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent and oversees a comprehensive preventive maintenance program.
- The program includes the repair of failing equipment, keeping records of parts and labor needed to maintain each piece of equipment.
- Prioritizes equipment repair and maintenance work.
- Maintains a preventive maintenance program within budget and on all equipment, and purchases repair parts and replacement supplies. Properly communicates any needs or problems related to the maintenance or repair of equipment to supervisor.
- Orders materials, supplies, tools, and equipment, and assures that all tools, vehicles, and equipment is operational and in safe working condition.
Conditions of Employment- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation and physical examination.
- Incumbent must be able to move heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
- Position requires driving on and off road in adverse conditions or on uneven terrain.
- Physical, mental, audio, and visual abilities are required at a level to satisfactorily perform the duties assigned.
- This position is first shift and will include primarily weekdays, some weekends and holidays.
Demonstrated work experience that included the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the work of the position to be filled.
Work experience must include repair work in the type of equipment mentioned above to include the knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the profession.
The ability to drive diverse type vehicles on uneven terrain.
Highly Preferred
Must possess previous golf course experience.

- This is a pay-banded position.
- Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). - Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
- Incentives will not be paid.
