ABOUT THIS JOB
THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN ENLISTMENT IN THE U.S. ARMY OR ARMY RESERVE
As a Military Police, youll protect peoples lives and property on Army installations by enforcing military laws and regulations.
Youll also control traffic, prevent crime, and respond to all emergencies. Youll
conduct force protection, anti-terrorism, area security, and police intelligence operations. Youll also train in corrections and detention, investigations and mobility, and security around the world.
Skills youll learn align with Law Enforcement & Security, Intelligence Collection, Corrections and Detention. In addition, you could earn 39 nationally recognized certifications!
JOB DUTIES
- Law enforcement patrols
- Interview witnesses, victims and suspects in investigations
- Crime scene security and processing
- Arrest and charge criminal suspects
REQUIREMENTS
- 10 weeks of Basic Training
- 20 weeks of One Station Unit Training & on-the-job instruction in police methods
- U.S. Citizen
- 17 to 34 Years Old
- High School Diploma or GED
- Meet Tattoo Guidelines
- No Major Law Violations
- No Medical Concerns
