**Job Description**
The organization's risk management structure is designed to promote effective governance and risk management that is systematic, transparent, credible, timely, and verifiable through clear delineation and execution of key roles and responsibilities.??
Its goal is to assess and/or manage risks that may impact the company, including credit, financial, liquidity, market, operational, reputational, strategic, and other risks as appropriate.
The Economic Sanctions Analyst (Business Risk Professional 2 - AML) reports to the FX Services Sanctions Screening Manager and has?an intermediate understanding of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends related to economic sanctions screening. They may take a leading role in projects and/or activities that ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. They may identify gaps in inadequate internal processes, systems, or human errors and devise practical solutions to these issues. They may actively identify, respond and/or escalate risks as appropriate. They may inform policies and procedures to maximize operational efficiency and minimize regulatory exposure. They may review and revise training materials and operational procedures to ensure the information contained therein is both accurate and up to date.
**Duties may include:**
Perform OFAC/Sanctions watch list screening of financial transactions, as needed
Serve as first escalation point for screening specialists?
Partner with team manager to train screening specialists and encourage continuous improvement
Take ownership of various tasks and projects
Craft Procedures, Reference Guides, Checklists, Process Flows, and other documentation
Create and update training documents
Collaborate with team manager on various tasks and initiatives, as needed
**Basic Qualifications**
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience?
1-2 years of applicable experience?
**Preferred Skills/Experience**
Familiarity with OFAC/Sanctions and/or AML/BSA concepts?
Ability to proactively identify potential gaps, escalate appropriately, and assist with corrective action
Detail-orientated and able to think critically
Demonstrated analytical abilities and problem-solving skills?
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently with minimal assistance or supervision
Proficient computer navigation skills, particularly word processing, spreadsheet, databases, and presentations?
Knowledge of U.S. Bank's operations, systems, and practices within business units?

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. Pay Range: $64,855.00 - $76,300.00 - $83,930.00
