The Production Artist must be very detail oriented, and able to work on multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment while taking direction and feedback well. Our company provides the public with many informational guides that must be updated as state laws change. We are looking for someone that can keep the process moving quickly with minimal errors. The Productive Artist will edit/update copy as required, adjust layout if necessary, and prepare final files for both print and digital uses after final approvals. Having solid knowledge of the Adobe Create Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential to this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with creative director, project managers and attorneys.
- Prepare and implement print and online consumer guide materials
- Make various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and resolve any artwork issues that arise during production
- Edit information to all guide materials as directed
- Scale and crop, retouch, revise or resize layouts as directed internally
- Prepare a wide range of electronic and printed materials as well as other types of media.
- Package and preflight files for release to printers or media partners
- Create PDFs for print and client review
- Catalog and reference art for future projects
- Follow a development timeline to ensure tasks are being completed on time
- Troubleshoot problems as they arise with both the creative director, project managers and the printers
- Ensure adherence to brand standards across color, font, production quality and more
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of professional experience in a related field/position (in-house graphic designer, agency, marketing firm, pre-press)
- Having solid knowledge of the Adobe Create Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential to this position.
- bachelor’s degree in design or other related positions is preferred
- outstanding portfolio and experience that demonstrates clear knowledge of print production and design
- solid knowledge of printing processes and should be adept with software applications such as the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
- strong analytical skills, an attention-to-detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a process-oriented self-starter.
- Up to date with production techniques and trends through research and education.
