U.S. Legal Support is looking for a professional with fantastic typing skills and a keen eye for detail to capture spoken testimony for depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings. If you have an interest or experience in the legal field, a professional demeanor, and are good at working with specialized computer equipment, become a Digital Reporter with our world-class Court Reporting department now!
This is a hybrid role. No previous experience with Digital Court Reporting is required!
Essential Job Functions of a Digital Reporter:
• Administer oaths and participate in depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings in office locations and remotely once licensed as a notary.
• Utilize technology to record legal proceedings in accordance with established guidelines, rules, and procedures.
• Administer web conference sessions and facilitate group meetings.
• Transport, set up, and operate computer audio equipment.
• Communicate with clients and multiple parties in a professional setting.
• Prepare audio files, exhibits, and documents for subsequent transcription.
Required Qualifications for a Digital Reporter:
• Proficient with the use of computer technology including software applications and web-conference platforms.
• Typing speed of 65 words per minute with a high accuracy rate.
• Ability to obtain a state Notary Commission and administer oaths.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to: sit for extended periods, bend, stoop, and lift equipment up to 50 pounds and ability to accommodate a flexible schedule
• A high school diploma or equivalent
