Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this job description – other tasks may be assigned and expected to be performed.
- Prepares monthly financial statements and operational management reports.
- Prepares monthly standard journal entries, payroll journal entries and labor distribution reports.
- Maintains department expense budget files, prepares monthly department actual to budget reporting, and works with supervisors to ensure budget control.
- Provides analysis and compilation of work order and purchase price variances, reviews and production reporting and corrects errors.
- Prepares and maintains JSOX documentation, provides internal and external audit reports as required.
- Manages annual inventory standard setting process and on-going maintenance of standard cost files.
- Assists in the oversight of fixed assets including capital requests, asset ledgers and depreciation calculations, and our fixed asset inventory.
- Performs monthly cycle count audits, reports on results and generates recommendations for improvements in internal controls.
- Oversight and monitoring of Accounts Payable automation process.
- Perform ad-hoc research and historical analysis utilizing varying data sources to help resolve issues confronting business partners.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Five to seven years of related work experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to communicate with all employees and deal with difficult situations as they arise, and to effectively convey company policy and procedure.
- Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Must be fully versed in the use and application of personal computers and associated software programs (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access). Working knowledge of QAD Enterprise Applications is preferred.
