This is a physical job at a facility that operates 24/7 where you'll be on your feet working outside most days alongside a team of people who care about you, your future, your safety, and doing the job well.
When you're considering a new job, it's normal to have a ton of questions. Here are a few we're asked all the time.
- What qualifies me to work here? You don't need experience doing the job, but you should have work experience using tools to fix mechanical issues on equipment or machinery at a moment's notice and be able to problem solve while using critical thinking. You know how to look at a system, identify what's wrong, and think through the symptoms to correct issues.
- What's my day like?Every day is a little different based on the product we're receiving via rail, truck, and/or barge arriving that day or various projects that are happening. You'll get to know your teammates while you learn the job, shadowing different aspects of the job from mechanical fixes to reporting and inventory.
- What benefits do you offer? We offer the health, dental, and vision programs you'll need to take care of your family from day 1, but there's more. You'll be eligible for our annual short-term incentive program. We also have 401(k) with match, on-the-job training, and tuition reimbursement.
- What is the hourly rate? Our hourly rate is based on experience and there will be overtime available.
- What is the schedule? How much overtime will I have to work? Our locations are operating 24/7, 365 days a year. Sometimes projects take longer than expected and you will have to be flexible and stay until we're done with the work. You'll work weekdays and be added to the on-call rotation which may result in overtime - we'll be sure to cover the amount of overtime during an interview.
- We'll teach you everything you need to know to be a great Terminal Technician, but you must have the flexibility to work on call.
- You must also be 19 years or older with a clean driving record, able to pass a background check
- Safely lift 75 pounds unassisted
