Job Description Position Summary: As Lead, Global Internal Communications, you will play a central role in driving understanding of our company’s business strategy across our global employee population, and embedding our company’s Purpose, Vision and Values into their lives. Reporting into the Global Internal Communications Director, you will help develop and implement a central communications strategy, built in collaboration with key global partners and Zone communications leaders. Use cultural and audience insight in your critical thinking, helping to develop a communications strategy that builds trust, instills organizational clarity and positively engages employees throughout their Kraft Heinz experience. Work closely with our global Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to develop company-wide messaging and content, including written messages, video content, audio content and live speeches. Act as a trusted advisor on tone, content and cadence of messaging across key topics including, but not limited to, ESG, DI&B, company direction, brand updates, M&A, innovation, and employee experience. Support a Sr. Communications Specialist in the development and execution of key communications routines, including weekly/monthly updates, local engagement campaigns and key employee and organizational announcements, providing oversight and quality control. Play a key role in running employee engagement channels and developing a channel strategy centralized internal communications strategy with the Global Director. In conjunction with the Global Director, help build a global community of internal communicators, engaging partners and comms leaders around the world from our commercial and supply chain populations. Provide broader team support to junior team members and will lead by example with high quality, thoughtful and creative work. Responsibilities: Global Internal Communications Strategy Support the Global Internal Communications Director in auditing current internal comms/employee engagement platforms, messages, and tools to outstanding approach; review new technology and options to drive easier and more effective engagement with all employees globally Contribute to the development of a global communications strategy, gaining employee and cultural insights to inform approach and brainstorming creative ideas Help cascade strategy to comms leaders across the Zone, supporting them in localization and execution for their markets Coordinate the execution of key projects within the global strategy, working with a Sr. Communications Specialist to ensure quality and excellent execution globally and within Zones Content Development Drive the development of an employee video content series, identifying compelling narrative from across the business, packaging the stories into a social-media / newsworthy video format fit for use across a variety of internal, employee-facing channels Working with the broader communications team, help build an ‘always on’ content engine featuring employee profiles and outstanding articles for use internally and externally Global Internal Communications Tools, Channels and Events Provide to the project management, materials development and execution of key employee events including global Town Halls, leadership conferences / global convention, leaders calls/briefings and global engagement moments (e.g. Employee Engagement Survey) Using employee audit findings, help research and identify global platforms that will help drive employee engagement around the world (e.g. social media platforms, employee engagement apps, company intranet, virtual meeting platforms, etc.) Customer and Team Management Establish positive relationships with critical team members across the global business and within the Zones, supporting the Global Director in building a global comms community Liaise with global functions including (but limited to) Employer Branding, HR, IT, Legal and Finance to support global communications needs, advising on appropriate timing and tone of messaging as it relates to the larger business and communications calendar At times, ghost write for key customers and executives (e.g. speeches, scripts, presentations), ensuring consistency of messaging internally / externally Skills: Bachelor’s Degree level education, with a background in public relations, journalism, or marketing with confirmed experience working in a public relations / marketing communications function experience handling internal and external communications, corporate communications, issues management and customer engagement, ideally in a fast-paced global commercial organization or in a client-facing role A combination of agency and in-house experience preferred Strong project management and leadership skills with outstanding organizational and planning skills Both written and verbal communications skills with a strong command of the English language and the ability to simplify complicated messages Comfortable communicating with all levels, and able to instill confidence in senior customers and peers Skilled in dealing with sensitive, complex and confidential issues and situations Commercially astute and able to align your objectives with that of the wider business Self-motivated, able to work autonomously: a bias for action, reliable, excellent presentation skills Ability to work well under pressure and meet demanding deadlines, while maintaining high standards of quality Confident bringing new insights and rolling up your sleeves to get it done; comfortable with failing, learning and growing Location(s) Chicago/Aon Center Kraft Heinz is an Equal Opportunity Employer – Underrepresented Ethnic Minority Groups/Women/Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity and other protected classes.
