Position Summary:
Uses advanced operational concepts and objectives to resolve highly complex issues. Regularly works on complex research issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Primarily deals with translational science research (bench to bedside) programs and projects with a special focus on the science of translation itself. Develops and oversees the implementation of new research programs and processes. Uses an array of sophisticated quality by design (QbD) and other process improvement modalities to advance translational science research by working with investigators to design and implement stronger research projects by utilizing these concepts. Works with faculty by providing expertise in recruitment and retention as well working with other subject matter experts to provide feedback and direction to increase the strength of the research project.. In addition, assist faculty with other resources available through the ICTS and the University. Requires extensive experience and autonomy in decision-making and project development to work with investigators and research coordinators on developing recruitment plans across the campus to help bridge the gap with researchers and the community. Autonomously provides summary reports and feedback to faculty across Campus and Health Sciences as well as at our partner organizations (ie. CHOC, and the VA, etc) pertaining to their research study.

$81,900.00 - $116,200.00 (Annual Salary) Expected Pay Range within the Full Salary Range $81,900.00 - $150,500.00 (Annual Salary)
Required:
5-10 years of research experience
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Certification in Clinical Research
Advanced knowledge of common organizational- or research-specific and other computer application programs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and influence, both verbally and in writing. Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality. Advanced project management skills.
Preferred:
Thorough knowledge of organizational or initiative processes, protocols and procedures. Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes. Advanced knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques. Advanced analytical / problem-solving skills.
Special Conditions Required:
May work evenings and weekends as necessary Must be willing to travel to partner institutions for meetings May require travel between various offices and clinics in Orange and Irvine campuses
