Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Clinical Nutrition Manager and Registered Dietitian (RD), the Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) assists the RD in nutrition assessment, implementation, and monitoring of Medical Nutrition Therapy. Participates as a healthcare team member to provide care to pediatric/adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Provides a wide range of nutritional services including nutrition screenings, gathering information from patients, charting and calculation of nutrient intake, monitoring patients, menu modifications, performing nutrition education and other related duties as assigned.

Salary Range:
Hourly Rate Minimum $23.32 Midpoint $26.15 Maximum $28.98
Required Qualifications:
Associate degree in Dietetic Technology or Bachelor degree from four-year college or university in Nutrition and Dietetics (following The Commission on Dietetic Registration curriculum)
Registered with the Commission on Dietetics (CDR) as a Dietetic Technician, Registered or Registered Dietitian
One (1) year of previous directly related nutritional experience in a healthcare environment
Completes continuing education to meet requirements for maintenance of registration
Must have superior customer service and critical thinking skills
Proficient in concepts of basic algebra including ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and volume
Possesses necessary skills to effectively operate the hospital’s electronic medical record system. Ability to operate a standard computer including basic use of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Must be able to work various hours and days based on business need
Willingness and availability to work overtime, holidays, and weekend as needed or requested
