Position Summary:
The Division of Enrollment Management is a key campus thought partner that provides collaborative leadership in university-wide efforts, utilizing systematic, innovative, and synergistic approaches to leverage a data-informed enrollment strategy to improve market distinctiveness, and execute the campus strategic plan. The division comprises the offices of Enrollment Management, Financial Aid & Scholarships, University Registrar, and Undergraduate Admissions. The mission of the University Registrar is to provide academic support services in an atmosphere of prompt, accurate, and friendly service to the campus community through practices consistent with the mission and values of the university. The Office is responsible for maintaining student records, issuing reports of grades, and distributing official publications.
Assists in supervision and administration of key operational processes within the Registrar’s office, including residency, special enrollment, and frontline Registrar services. Advises and counsels University employees, students, and the public in accordance with various federal laws, Academic Senate regulations, and University and campus policies. Also reviews Statement of Legal Residence forms, registration materials, transcripts, quarterly course reports, and various forms and petitions. Provides information and serves as liaison regarding registration and enrollment, Academic Senate policies, University policies, campus policies and procedures related to student academic records. Identifies potential problems and counsels on appropriate actions and may refer to appropriate staff as needed. Manages and supervises residency unit in determinations of residence eligibility.

$73,900.00 - $103,800.00 (Annual Salary) Expected Pay Range within the Full Salary Range $73,900.00 - $133,700.00 (Annual Salary)
Required:
Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience or equivalent training.
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Advanced knowledge of policies, regulations, and practices with student records services. Advanced knowledge of University policies, processes, and procedures and of Federal and California laws pertaining to the privacy rights of students and access to student information. Ability to apply advanced knowledge of policies, regulations, and procedures to complex individual situations to make independent decisons. Develops and implements procedures to ensure compliance in a diverse learning community. Advanced problem identification, critical thinking, and problem solving skills; judgment and decision-making ability. Advanced ability to assess processes and implement improvements. Advanced organizational skills and ability to prioritize and complete work and meet deadlines in an environment of frequent interruptions and distractions. Project management skills. Advanced written and verbal communication skills in relating to a variety of audiences. Active listening skills with ability to summarize issues. Customer service orientation. Advanced interpersonal skills. Advanced knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs and productivity software, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, email, web browsers, Student Information Systems, Student Billing Systems, and Online Statement of Legal Residence. Advanced knowledge of U.S. DHS/Immigration and Naturalization Service laws, federal regulations and guidelines, and state residency statutes pertaining to residence matters. Ability to work with people from diverse cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds. Utilizes excellent constituent service skills with all interactions. Advanced ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with campus departments, UC campuses, and external agencies. Advanced skill in interacting diplomatically and in using proper judgment while maintaining equanimity with all individuals, including situations involving conflict. Ability to answer several incoming phone lines in a courteous and timely manner.
Preferred:
Advanced knowledge of specialized registrar core functions (e.g., degree requirements, special enrollment, veterans' benefits, and residency). Working knowledge of University Departments.
