The Lead Operating Room Scheduler is responsible and accountable for key activities associated with the Operating Room (OR) and Interventional Radiology (IR) scheduling in Epic.
The duties includes and are not limited to scheduling all procedures for the operating rooms at various locations; reviewing OR schedule across all sites in order to maximize OR room resources; scheduling resources includes staff, anesthesia, equipment and specialty items; ensuring accurate scheduling possible to optimize and provide high level service to customers; ensuring highest quality care and patient safety; and performing additional duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Four (4) years or more of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in OR/IR scheduling or similar roles.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Effective problem-solving abilities and collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills.
- Ability to work under general supervision and collaborate effectively with various teams.
- Experience with EPIC.
- Lead Scheduler experience in an acute care hospital or clinical setting.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $61,178 - $76,108 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $29.30 - $36.45
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
