DESCRIPTION
Incumbent serves as Assistant Glacier Administrator & Financial Reconciliation. This position is responsible for accomplishing tasks in two core areas to include Glacier Administration and Payroll Fundamentals Training. This position will assist in all processes related to Glacier (Nonresident Alien Tax Compliance System); Assist in tax treaty renewals; Assisting in ensuring university-wide compliance with the Internal Revenue Service’s (IRS) regulations concerning the taxation of nonresident aliens (NRA’s) as outlined in section 1441; Document processes and procedures for the department; Respond to SNOW cases and participate in the one on one on office hours and weekly Q&A.
QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated working knowledge of many payroll processes, policies, and procedures.
Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Non-Resident Tax Compliance or equivalent platforms.
Experience in the area of Payroll taxation.
Proven ability to interpret policies and procedures and contract agreements after analyzing the business requirements, regulations, and similar information.
Solid communication skills and ability to communicate professionally and effectively with a diverse population of all levels of organization in person, over the phone, and in writing.
Must have strong organizational skills with ability to set priorities, handle deadlines, and manage conflicting demands.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, Adobe Acrobat, and various email, database, and desktop publishing programs. Proven typing/word processing skills to prepare correspondence, reports, and spreadsheets.
Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities, handle deadlines, and manage conflicting demands.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in PeopleSoft platform, Glacier System, and ORACLE financial.
Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field, and two (2) years professional experience with employee compensation and benefits or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Job offer is contingent upon a satisfactory clearance based on background check results.
