Summary:
Recognizes, manages, and rehabilitates injuries to professional, amateur and recreational athletes. Provides techniques for prevention of injuries.
Work Schedule: PRN Flex
Responsibilities:
Prepares athletes for practice or competition.
Evaluates and manages injuries and determines whether a referral is necessary. Maintains a medical file on each athlete and acts as a liaison between the physician and the athlete.
Implements treatment and rehabilitation programs under the supervision of a physician.
Develops conditioning programs for injured and non-injured athletes.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
The pay range for this position is: $22.80 - $29.64 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
An annual bonus may be paid to eligible employees based upon organizational and individual performance.

Other information:
Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree. Continuing education in the field. Preferred: Master's degree.
Required Licensure/Certification: Certification by National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA). Registration with the State of Colorado as an Athletic Trainer. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
Minimum Experience: 1 year of experience in an orthopedic setting providing direct patient care. Experience working in conjunction with orthopedic/sports medicine physicians. - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)
