What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager, Patient Navigation & Business Services position at UCLA Health Careers?
Reporting to the Director of Global Strategy & Business Services, the Project Manager is responsible for assisting with Patient Navigation & Business Services initiatives impacting patient services and business development. In this role, you will provide analytical and project management support. You will be responsible for day to day activities of specific initiatives and for reporting and data management of their assigned initiatives. Specifically, you will support the Director in carrying out major strategic projects, including development of a greenfield international hospital. You will also help to identify and analyze critical issues, recommend solutions to decision-makers and implement interventions. This role will be working with multidisciplinary stakeholders from across the health system and external organizations.
*Travel is required up to 50%
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Master’s Degree preferred (MHA, MBA, or equivalent)
- Fluency in Arabic is highly preferred
- Minimum 5 years experience in healthcare setting.
- Minimum 3 years experience working in international healthcare operations, strategy, and program development preferred
- Thorough understanding of elements of health care delivery including strategy, business planning, operations, accreditation standards and financial conditions
- Ability to independently analyze information and situations and solve problems.
- Demonstrated ability in diplomacy, discretion, tact and sound judgment, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Understands the approaches and methods of process improvement, including planning, setting priorities, systematic performance assessment, implementation based on such assessment, and maintaining achieved improvement
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with external clients and partners
- Proven experience building and maintaining multiple on-going complex international partnerships
- Demonstrated ability to represent an organization independently with a high degree of ethical standards.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with high profile and high-ranking officials of domestic and foreign governments, corporations, and NGOs.
- Skill in working with complex organizations to comply with regulatory requirements
