The Senior Public Administrative Analyst will perform therole of the "Data and Design Manager" for the All Children Thrive-California(ACT) initiative. ACT is a large-scale innovation initiative designed totransform public health planning efforts to adopt population health andecosystems thinking to promote healthy life course development. The RegionalTechnical Assistance Coach will support the planning, implementation,monitoring, evaluation, and operational learning of specific project activitiesof the All Children Thrive initiative.
This position will entail: meeting with ACT-funded projectsto discuss community data needs; creation of community data-related tools andvisualizations; coordinating delivery of community data-related TA with ACTcoaches and TA leads; organizing and/or leading conference calls, meetings,conferences, and webinars. This position will be involved in technicalassistance coaching activities related to the project. This position requires asophisticated level of knowledge about child health systems, and the rapidlychanging local, state, and national policy environment. Additionally, as a Dataand Design Manager, applicants must be versed in: standard and innovative organizingstrategies; education and health systems management structures; as well as citygovernment roles and responsibilities. In addition to one on one technicalassistance coaching, this position will also be responsible for facilitatinglearning exchanges across partner communities and cities. This positionrequires engaging with a variety of national and local experts as well as highranking elected and appointed officers. The position will participate inrecruitment of the participating sites, assist with the testing andimplementation of protocols for engagement, including a readiness assessment,technical assistance with community engagement activities, policy development,and supporting cross-sector community coalition building. This position willassist sites with how to develop systems for assessing the effectiveness ofstrategies they implement and in implementing evaluation protocols.
This position will entail developing and maintainingpartnerships with a variety of individuals and institutions, organizing and/orleading conference calls, meetings, conferences, and webinars. This positionwill be involved in outreach, recruitment and engagement activities related tothe project. This position requires a sophisticated level of knowledge aboutthe child health system, and the rapidly changing local, state, and nationalpolicy environment. This position requires engaging with a variety of leadingexperts and other high-ranking individuals.
The Data and Design Manager must have excellentcommunication and writing skills, including the ability to complete succinctbriefs as well as lengthy reports. The Data and Design Manager may be asked toprovide administrative, research, policy analysis, and/or writing and editingsupport to other Center projects as needed/available. The position requiressophisticated expertise in interpreting a variety of data sufficiently tosupport communities' ability to understand and interpret local data to informpolicy and practice. The Data and Design Manager will also perform otherrelated duties as directed by the Director and/or Project Managers, includingthe supervision and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students. The idealcandidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in supporting andpromoting changes in practice, policy and/or community level change efforts.
Target annual rate: $61,400.00-$121,400.00Qualifications
Required:
- Basic understanding ofqualitative and quantitative data analytical techniques, methods, and tools
- Proficient using MicrosoftOffice software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to travel within the United States toproject sites and meetings, as needed
- Strong writing skills, including being able tocompose professional emails and documents
- Ability to work independently as well as with ateam
- Organizational skills and flexibility to allow formulti-tasking and transitioning smoothly
between various research and administrative projectsand duties as needed * Experience in working independently and on teamsto meet project timeline
- Prior experience with organizing webinars usingWebEx, GoToMeeting/Webinar, Zoom, or other similar programs
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate scheduledproject timeline requirements and respond with action that allowsimplementation in a timely manner
- Excellence in handling multiple projects andchanges quickly and effectively
- Strong communication skills, including beingable to communicate in a friendly and effective manner
- Prior experience working in cross-sector collaborativeinitiatives
- Prior experience leading community data-related technicalassistance and coaching in any of the following areas: early child development,public health, education, child-welfare, and social justice
- Experience supporting evaluation activities including data collection, program reporting, interviews, and/or survey completion
Preferred:
- Graduate degree in Public Health, Education,Policy/Public Administration, Social Welfare, or related field and interest inchild health
- Strong understanding of child and family healthpolicy and systems
- Prior experience with writing reports forfunders
- Experience with supporting teams with Continuous Quality Improvement methods
- Familiarity with communities ofpractice, learning networks, collaborative innovation networks, place-basedinitiatives
