Essential Functions:
At the direction of the Community Services Manager, the Community Services Data Specialist is responsible for analyzing, verifying and processing applications for the eight county service area under the Community Services Program area including but not limited to LIHEAP and WAP. This position may also be involved with outreach in the community. The position must provide excellent communication, marketing, customer service, customer referrals, correspondence, file management, data collection, and other duties as assigned. Must be proficient in data entry with low error rate.

Administration
1. Appropriately allocate time to each Program based upon actual time servicing respective Program.
2. Receives, sorts, processes and quality checks all applications for LIHEAP and WAP.
3. Provides excellent customer service by responding to requests for information from the general public and answers routine questions in a timely manner.
4. Maintains confidentiality and discretion with client information.
5. Gathers complete and appropriate information to complete data entry and process applications.
6. Establish and maintain professional working relationships with clients (neighbors), vendors, and community resource providers.
7. Member of Community Services Team and will attend meetings and trainings for this Team as applicable.
8. All other duties as assigned.
Data Analysis
1. Determines eligibility of clients, distributes applications, and processes applications accurately and timely.
Program Support and Regulatory Compliance
1. Has a solid understanding and adheres to the guidelines for processing applications under the LIHEAP and WAP program guidelines and ensures performance standards and federal and state regulations are met.
2. Serves as a representative for the Community Services Program bringing awareness to various low income assistance opportunities in the eight county service area.
3. Establishes and maintains working partnerships with other agencies and non-profits in the service area.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full time non-exempt position with standard hours of work/days Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Salary:
$13.72 to $16.32 per hour based strictly on education.
