What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retirement Plan Manager position at UFP Industries, Inc.?

The Retirement Plan Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administration and compliance of the company's qualified (401k) and non-qualified retirement plans. This role will serve as the internal subject matter expert on systems, processes, and procedures to ensure the accurate, timely, and efficient delivery of the company's retirement plans.
Requirements:
  • Manages qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, ensuring compliance with plan design, company policies, and internal controls,
  • Serves as an expert resource to Human Resources and Company leadership on qualified and non-qualified plans and complex projects such as mergers, plan terminations, and acquisitions.
  • Ensures compliance with ERISA, IRS, DOL, and other relevant laws and requirements.
  • Leads RFP process in 2020 and subsequent vendor implementation.
  • Manages third party vendor relationships.
  • Monitors program administration effectiveness and works with internal and external stakeholders to design processes to improve efficiency.
  • Manages the implementation of plan and administrative changes.
  • Ensures resolution of complex issues and inquiries from employees, internal partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Oversees maintenance of plan materials and participant communications.
