Qualifications
The Chief Medical Officer directs the staff and programs of the organization's clinical programs. Works closely with hospital staff, department directors, and physicians to ensure that the highest standards of quality and service are maintained. Oversees the implementation of quality improvement efforts designed to improve clinical performance and in compliance with corporate guidelines, state and local regulations, the American Osteopathic Association and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals. Evaluates developments in medical care and makes recommendations for new practices and procedures. Advises CEO and medical teams on matters impacting patient care. Requires an advanced degree of medicine. Requires to be licensed to practice (MD). Manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. The Medical Staff Services Director is responsible for the management of all functions of the Medical Staff Services Department, which includes all physician-related issues Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. Comprehensive knowledge of the overall departmental function. Typically requires 8 years of managerial experience. Serves as the DIO and DME/Program Director, overseeing the Post-Doctoral Training Program.
- Advanced degree of medicine
- Licensed physician in the state of Florida
- Extensive knowledge and experience with post-doctoral training programs required.
- Demonstrated project management skills are required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detail oriented and organizational skills required.
- Five years or more experience at leadership level required.
