SandyPines Residential Treatment Center is a 149 bed Residential Psychiatric Facility servicing children and adolescents ages 5 to 17.  The facility is located in beautiful sub-tropical South Florida and is nestled beside Jonathan Dickinson Sate Park which creates a rustic, roomy outdoor atmosphere.  SandyPines is at the county line of both Palm Beach and Martin Counties and is just minutes away from the shores of the Atlantic Ocean.

Qualifications

Chief Operations Officer - Position Summary:

 

The COO position has overall responsibility for operations at Sandy Pines Behavioral Health Hospital.  Supports the goals and objectives of the hospital’s strategic plan, quality and value, financial resilience, physicians as partners, leadership, people and culture, and market differentiation and growth. In collaboration with department heads, plans, directs, and monitors business units, departments, service lines, or programs to ensure success. The COO has the responsibility to ensure that all elements of the strategic plan that affect operations are implemented and those strategic targets or outcomes are achieved to ensure the maximum success of the organization.  This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

 

Qualifications:

 

Education:   Bachelor in Master’s degree in Hospital Administration, Social Work or health related field. 

Experience:   Five years in a senior management position of an administrative/leadership level in the mental health care field.  Preferably candidates with proven people leadership and development experience in hospital operations in a psychiatric setting.  Must have advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.  Direct program management experience a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Position requires moderate amount of sitting, standing and walking.  Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling will be part of daily routine.  Occasional stooping, kneeling, bending may also be involved in daily routine.  Moderate to loud noises must be tolerated with ease, Occasional contact with communicable disease, subject to irregular hours and changes in schedule and work location.  Subject to crisis intervention and many interruptions during hours of work.
