Conveniently located in northern Sacramento, Heritage Oaks is a fully accredited, 125-bed acute psychiatric hospital offering a full range of individually tailored treatment services to adolescents, adults and senior adults, including treatment for substance abuse and chemical dependency issues with drugs and alcohol. Heritage Oaks is a Medicare provider in addition to contracts with most commercial health insurance plans. We are currently looking for a Cook/Dietary Aide. The Cook/Dietary Aide is responsible for the preparation and service of breakfast, lunch and dinner meals for patients and facility staff according to the approved menu cycle and production sheets. Comply with facility and departmental policies and procedures regarding food services offered. Follow menus and recipes as provided by the Director of Dietary. Follow posted cleaning schedule and ensure a clean work area and dining room at all times.

Qualifications
This is a per-diem position
QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires you to drive up to 30 minutes a day for food delivery. You must also be available to work some weekends.
Must have: your own vehicle with valid license and insurance.
Education/Experience: 6 months experience in quantity cooking- preferred , a basic knowledge of modified diets; training in food service sanitation; experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils. Required to have transportation and valid DL and auto insurance. On the job training provided. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.
Additional Requirements: Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Incumbent may be required to work variable shifts, overtime and flexible hours. Completion of Handle with Care class within 30 days of employment and prior to participating in a code green is required.
