QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Training:
Master's degree in social work, psychology, or mental health counseling; or Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years clinical experience required, 3 years in a management capacity; experience in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings; experience in fiscal management; experience in clinical supervision; experience in crisis, individual, family and group treatment; experience in program development.
Qualifications
Licensure/Certification:
- North Carolina LCSW or related mental health licensure;
- Current North Carolina Driver’s License
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience or strong level of knowledge of PHP/IOP services
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides administrative supervision to therapists and other clinical staff assigned to Outpatient Services to include Adult/Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program/ Intensive Outpatient Program in accordance with applicable state and federal regulations and Joint Commission standards.
- Schedules, organizes, and participates in treatment team and staff meetings.
- Assists in continued development of the treatment program to ensure best practice methods are being utilized. Evaluates treatment programming on an ongoing basis.
- Prepares and delivers presentations on dual diagnosis populations and the Partial Hospitalization Program to increase community education and build awareness per the recommendations of the Chief Clinical Officer.
- Maintains competency and knowledge of best practice methods of dual diagnosis treatment methodology and research, and ensures implementation of these practices in the program.
- Responsible for staffing patterns; ensuring clinical and nonclinical coverage of staff meets the needs/demands of the client population on a daily basis.
- Assists in the supervision and training of staff to build appropriate competencies for delivery of quality, evidence-based, treatment services.
- Closely tracks budgetary issues and ensures that Outpatient Services is meeting its budget. Takes direction from the Chief Clinical Officer regarding budget changes to the program.
- Screens potential new clients for appropriateness for programming.
- Organizational, time management, problem solving, crisis management and team building skills.
