Director of ICU at Corona Regional Medical Center
The Director of ICU assesses, plans, implements and evaluates delivery of patient care with 24-hour responsibility for total management of the ICU Department. Provides administrative direction and works collaboratively with administration, intensivists, and physicians for development and evaluation of all nursing personnel and maintains operational aspects of the patient care unit in collaboration with support services. Contributes to nursing and the hospital through support of philosophy and objectives, educational and research efforts. Accountable to assure that HCAHPS, patient, employee, and physicians satisfaction scores are all in acceptable ranges. Accountable for building and directing teams to improve core measures and other Joint Commission initiatives. Accountable to educate the critical care nursing team including new technology, clinical practice, and validation of competencies. The ICU Director has ongoing dialogues with nurses both one on one and in monthly staff and clinical unit. This position reports to the Chief Nursing Officer and is proactive in identifying needs of staff and resolves issues to improve patient care and supports nursing leadership direction. Furthermore, it is a positive reactor assuring new initiatives and practices are followed according to evidenced-based practice, consistently and without bias.

Qualifications
EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:
- Registered Nurse licensed to practice in California
- Required Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
- CCRN or other specialty certification-Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or in a related field required.
- Master's degree from an accredited College or University in related field Preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in ICU as a Registered Nurse required.
- Minimum 3 years acute care nursing leadership experience in ICU required.
