Responsibilities

Rockford Center is searching for a dynamic, experienced, and knowledgable Director of Social Work to join the Rockford Team!

Job Duties:

The Adolescent and Child Social Worker will provide quality case management and psychotherapeutic services to adolescent patients.

• Knowledge of the principles and practices of social work.
• Knowledge and ability to implement performance improvement process and application.
• Ability to manage resources, including staffing and scheduling.
• Human Resource management, including recruitment, labor relations, training, and performance appraisals.
• Clinical supervision of department social workers.
• Ability to effectively develop strategic plans for the growth and development of the department and the hospital, including interns.
• Knowledge and implementation of hospital policy and procedures.
• Ethical/legal principles and utilization management of department.
• Organizational leadership, including chairing department and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to provide staff development and training.
• Ability to maintain effective working relations with patients, staff, hospital administration, and general public.

Qualifications

Position Requirements: Master's Degree in Social Work or similar (must be license-eligible) LPCMH/LCSW preferred. Supervisory experience needed. Previous experience in behavioral health setting preferred. Extensive knowledge of Social Work values, principles, and methods with special focus on mental health, family and group dynamics.
