What are the responsibilities and job description for the FOSTER PARENT TRAINER position at UHS?
- Manages the recruitment strategies and processes for the Birmingham metro area.
- Works with Licensing Specialist and Foster Care Director to open Foster Family Homes and train individuals using the TIPS/Deciding Together Curriculum
- Conducts' orientation for Foster Parents.
- Conducts Pre-Service Orientations.
- Teaches, Trains, and Coach Foster Parents to work successfully with Therapeutic Children.
- Provide CPR/First Aide training to Foster Parents and/or ACS Employees as needed.
- Conducts Monthly In-Service Trainings for Foster Parents.
- Preforms other Duties as deemed Necessary.
- Bachelor’s Degree is Highly Preferred however a minimum of 5 years recruitment/Foster Care experience will be considered.
- Passion for Improving the lives of Therapeutic Children in Foster Care by working with the Foster Parents to provide Therapeutic Strategies in the homes.
- Proficiency with computers
- Must exhibit excellent organizational skills
- Must utilize excellent written and verbal communication skills.
