How you will make an impact:
Licensed Practical Nurse:
- Provide safe and effective nursing care in their assigned work area(s) in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Cedar Hills Hospital and within the framework of established policies and procedures of the Nursing Department.
- Performs under the direction of a Registered Nurse in providing nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing basic understanding of psychiatric and personality disorders.
- Works with multidisciplinary team members to promote and restore patients' health by assessing patients, planning for their care, and providing physical and psychological treatment.

Qualifications
Education: Graduate from an accredited professional vocational school of nursing or vocational training as a Psychiatric Technician.
Experience: Minimum one (1) year as a LPN/LVN/LPT in psychiatric nursing preferred.
Licensure: Currently has an unencumbered license as a Licensed Practical Nurse Nurse through the Oregon State Board of Nursing. Must maintain a valid driver's license, preferred.
Additional Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR/BLS Certification.
Training: Successful completion Handle With Care and Service Excellence training must occur within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting in any restraining procedures. Must be able to pass a competency exam for the area upon hire. May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours
Must demonstrate basic computer literacy.
