Medical Records Coder – Full Time
Pembroke Hospital is a 120-bed acute care, inpatient behavioral health facility located south of Boston, in Pembroke, MA. Situated on 26 acres, we offer inpatient and partial hospitalization treatment to teens, adults and older adults, and our services are designed to assess, stabilize, and treat patients by addressing their primary symptoms and problems. Pembroke Hospital is looking for a Medical Records Coder to join our dynamic healthcare team. The individual in this position will be responsible for analyzing and coding patient medical records. The position is onsite, remote is not an option.

Qualifications
Requirements
- Must be Certified in ICD-10 with 2 or more years’ experience coding from paper records
- Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, abbreviations, techniques, and procedures; psychiatric diagnoses and pharmacology.
- Knowledge of behavioral Inpatient and outpatient
- Extensive knowledge of official coding conventions and rules established by the American Psychiatric Association (APA), and Medicaid Services (CMS) for assignment of diagnostic codes
