Spring Mountain Treatment Center is currently seeking a dynamic professional to join our team as the Nursing Manager. Demonstrates leadership in organizing the delivery of patient care in an acute psychiatric setting for patients experiencing a wide range of psychiatric conditions. Responsible for supervision of RNs, MHTs and other nursing staff. Executes nursing procedures according to policy. Serves as a clinical resource person for staff members in their daily activities. Documents pertinent information accurately, timely and legibly. Promotes safety by attending mandatory in-services. Promotes a positive working environment by demonstrating respect and tolerance for age, gender, race and choice of lifestyle. Assumes responsibility for professional development and ongoing education. Maintains a professional appearance and attitude at all times. Serve actively and constructively as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team, supporting the hospital philosophy of nursing care; to ensure safety and well-being of each patient. Supervises staff in manner that maximizes each staff member’s strengths and skills. Is a good role model for peers and those under their supervision. Evaluates the work performance of all assigned staff on an ongoing basis. Reports observations, findings to supervisor. Participates in the performance improvement programs. Prioritizes nursing care resources to ensure patient safety. Remains focused on patient-centered care during crisis situations. Provide administrative support to staff during hospital operations. They present good communication and observation skills as well as the ability to accurately process and document information.

Spring Mountain Behavioral Services has provided mental health services to the Las Vegas community since 2001, treating children, teens, adults and senior adults with behavioral health or addiction issues. We offer a supportive and healthy environment with 24-hour care that allows people of all ages to make positive changes in their lives. Our primary location, Spring Mountain Treatment Center, focuses on the stabilization of acute symptoms for patients age 5 to 65, along with select outpatient care programs for teens. Our secondary location, Spring Mountain Sahara, houses our Adult Outpatient and Senior Adult Inpatient programs.
Spring Mountain Treatment Center is a 110-bed mental health facility that provides acute crisis stabilization services for adults, teens, and children in a secure inpatient setting. Our individualized treatment includes a structured, therapeutic environment, intensive physician involvement and oversight, and daily group and educational programs. Qualifications
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Current Nevada RN licensure.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor or Masters in Behavioral Health preferred or extensive R/T experience and demonstrated competency required.
- One year of experience in Psychiatric Nursing setting/patient care preferred.
- Able to communicate effectively in English through written and verbal means.
- Ability to plan and provide individualized nursing care.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluation of situations and/or making nursing decisions.
- Understand and honor the established hospital rules, regulations and policies and procedures.
- Good communication skills, i.e., reading, writing, and speaking
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
- Good leadership qualities which includes self-control, patience, and empathy
- Obtain BLS Basic Life Support certification
- New hires are required to attend 1 full week of New Employee Orientation on day shift, normally 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday through Friday
- Must successfully pass background check (includes criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check)
