Alabama Clinical Schools has been a behavioral healthcare provider in the Birmingham area for over 20 years. Our treatment services range from intensive residential treatment for males ages 9-18 to therapeutic foster care for males and females of all ages. Our RISE and Specialized Therapeutic Foster Care programs for boys are the only programs of their kind in the State of Alabama. On Call Registered Nurse:
The Registered Nurse is a key member of the Alabama Clinical Schools Team who will integrate and coordinate a patient centric nursing strategy with a keen focus on patient care; ensuring that delivery of high-quality and cost-effective health care is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and in accordance with government regulation, licensing and accreditation requirements.
This position would be great for a retired nurse or any nurse who wishes to work PRN/PT. The successful candidate will live in Birmingham, Alabama and be able to arrive at facility within 1 hour of being notified.

Qualifications
Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the state of Alabama.
Nursing degree from a CCNE accredited nursing program.
Knowledge of principles and practices relevant to nursing and patient care activities.
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with common computer based applications such as electronic mail, word processing and various databases, whether PC, network or mainframe based.
Being on-call for PRT – Post Assessment for Restraints. This includes face-to-face assessment and completion of 4 page document along with incident report. Training available to chosen candidate.
Ability to complete orientation which is currently completed on day shift (8am-4pm) and usually can be completed within one week.
Pay for this position includes daily on-call pay and payment for each face-to-face evaluation. Pay to be discussed at interview.
