Job Description:
Responsible for the delivery of respiratory therapy modalities and respiratory assessments to patients of all ages in all patient care areas, excluding critical care, NICU, and Labor & Delivery. Performs responsibilities independently and without supervision except as necessary during orientation or training.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Technician/Therapist program.
Technical Skills:
Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department and provide the care/service as described in the department policies and procedures.
License/Certification:
Current State of Nevada Practitioner of Respiratory Care license. Current State of Nevada Blood Gas Technologist, Blood Gas Assistant, or General Supervisor license. Must have applied for Blood Gas License and receive within 90 days of hire. Current BLS.
Other:
Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
