Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Intake, the Nurse Manager of Intake provides direction for the Intake Admissions Department in the assigned area(s) in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of the Hospital and within the framework of established policies and procedures of the Department of Intake and Admissions. The Nurse Manager is responsible for the clinical leadership and coordination of patient flow and staff productivity in the Intake and Admissions department. As a key team member in the Intake and admissions area, the Nurse Manager promotes a climate of effective performance through role modeling, willingness to learn and teach, and availability to patients and staff. The Nurse Manager is apart of the Mobile Assessment Team and completes crisis assessments.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Active/Unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license with Four (4) years of hospital experience in a psychiatric setting preferred
Thorough working knowledge of Hospital, Intake/Admissions with demonstrated ability to use skills in clinical and managerial situations
Prior management/leadership experience of a multiple disciplinary team preferred
Must be certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation upon hire and-annually thereafter
Must complete Satori Alternatives for Managing Aggression (SAMA) within 30 days of employment
