Job Summary: The Medicare Sales Representative (MSR) is responsible for exceeding sales objectives by enrolling and retaining Medicare beneficiaries through in-home appointments, seminars or scheduled sales events. The MSR will also work directly with in-network Physicians, and contracted hospitals and facilities to engage the pre-Medicare population and educate the physicians and staff on the value proposition of MAPD plans. The MSR will guide, educate and assist Medicare beneficiaries who are interested in enrolling in a Prominence Health Medicare Advantage Plan. The Representative will also develop Member engagement activities that create a 92% retention rate and consistent referral source.
Regulatory Requirements:
BA/BS or associates degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred
Life and Health Producer’s license issued by the State of Florida required (must have a valid license prior to the first day of employment)
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a motor vehicle
Knowledge and experience in healthcare, insurance sales, Medicare products, and client management
Ability to apply state and federal insurance laws and legislation and Prominence business processes to everyday circumstances needed
Language Skills:
· Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
· Bi-lingual a plus (Spanish-English)
Skills:
· Excellent computer skills and Microsoft Suite knowledge
· Self-starter with the ability to work with limited supervision
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills
· Strong time management, organizational and follow up skills required, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
· Must be creative, innovative and have excellent interpersonal skills; and
· Must be self-oriented, flexible, enthusiastic and energetic
