What are the responsibilities and job description for the SECURITY GUARD position at UHS?
JOB SUMMARY:
The Security Guard will ensure a safe and secure environment for all patients, visitors, and staff. Should be able to handle multiple priorities, make decisions under pressure and manage anger/fear/hostility/violence of others appropriately.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for all patients, visitors, and staff.
- Assist with the control of visitor traffic.
- Enforce Hospital Policy.
- Internal and External surveillance.
- Document all security related events as they occur. Report any occurrences to their Supervisor and/or Manager immediately.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensure/certification/registration: Must meet criteria to be Licensed in the State of Texas
- Experience required: Previous experience as a security guard required.
- Education required: High School diploma: preferred - Associate degree in Criminal Justice, or a Licensed Peace Officer.
