What are the responsibilities and job description for the TECH - ULTRASOUND (FED Saunders PRN) position at UHS?
Job Summary:
Responsible for the operation of diagnostic ultrasound equipment for the performance of all dynamic ultrasound procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision. Possess a positive and courteous attitude, and take the initative to go beyond what is expected in a teamwork environment.Must be able to be ON CALL when required of him/her.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Graduate of a recognized, approved American Medical Association Council of Education program in radiologic technology; associate's degree preferred.
- A minimum of two to three years of experience in an acute care environment is required.
Licensure:
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or registry eligible.
- BLS Required
Skills:
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Ability to recognize subtle differences between healthy and pathological areas.
