Utilization Review Coordinator
Via Linda Behavioral Hospital is a brand-new behavioral health provider serving Scottsdale and the great Phoenix region. We opened in February 2022 and now offer a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient services. The Utilization Review Coordinator reports to the Utilization Review Director. UR Coordinators provide an ongoing, systematic process for the assessment of the necessity and efficiency of the use of Via Linda Behavioral Hospital services. Interface with managed care organizations, external reviewers, and other payors for initial reviews, continued stay reviews and discharge planning. Assists in the promotion and maintenance of high quality patient care through the review and evaluation of clinical practices.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services, Human Development, Nursing, Business, or related field.
- Preferred Experience: Three years of full-time related professional experience or graduate-level specialized education in a specialty area related to the work at Via Linda Behavioral Hospital.
- Preferred Education: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona or licensed as an LMSW, LCSW, LPC, MFT or similar AZ Board of Behavioral Health licensure and have a Master’s Degree in a Behavioral Health field (e.g. Counseling, Social Work, etc.).
- Must have or be able to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
