Accountant

Staff Accountant

Our client in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Accountant to join their Accounting Operations organization. As a member of the accounting team, you will report to the Accounting Manager and collaborate with colleagues to drive process improvement. This role requires a self-motivated individual with excellent analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accruals for various accounts and other miscellaneous accruals related to the division and location
• Review and analysis for plants outside expected tolerance range
• Ensure GL Coding is accurate in accounting system
• Answer accounting inquiries for different divisions and locations
• Document the Accrual & Research processes
• Collaborate with a team to develop process improvements
• Regularly update Management on pertinent information
• Use Blackline to prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 3-5 years’ experience
• Strong communication skills
• Experience in month end close
• Expertise and knowledge of financial principals
• Experience in Hyperion, Blackline and JDE preferred
• Ability to support initiatives, goals, and maintain a positive environment
• Establish and Prioritize objectives and schedule activities to reach those objectives.
• High level of Microsoft Office expertise and advanced level Excel.
