The Team
The Corporate Tax practice works with various enterprises - hot technology start-ups, dynamic middle-market entities, closely held businesses - helping them navigate the ever changing business environment and tax landscape. From ensuring accuracy of accounting books and records and preparing tax filings to the planning for mergers and acquisitions or expansions to foreign markets, we tackle it all with personal attention and dedication. It is your chance to see the entire business cycle, from setting up payroll taxes for a brand-new start-up to a multi-million dollar exit.
Tasks
- Review tax returns for partnerships, corporations, and individuals
- International tax compliance including, but not limited to, forms 5471, 5472, 8865, 8858 and 1118
- Prepare and review tax provisions
- Handle special projects including tax audits, transaction structuring, and implementation of tax planning strategies
- Facilitate advanced tax research, resolve complex tax issues
- Review tax work from staff and provide feedback, training, and mentoring
- Lead and manage multiple tax engagements from start to finish ensuring they are completed within budget and timeline
- Build, manage, and maintain lasting relationships with clients
- Develop, motivate, and train staff – act as a mentor and a role model
- Demonstrate advanced tax technical knowledge necessary for advising clients and developing an area of expertise
- Participate in firm’s marketing, recruiting, team-building, and similar efforts
- Develop outside relationships with a goal of generating referral sources
- Adhere to firm’s policies and procedures

Experience and Education
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 5-10 years in relevant position
- Must be a CPA
- Must maintain required CPE credits annually
- Must be proficient in speaking & writing in Mandarin Chinese
- Knowledge of fundamental U.S. international tax rules including residency and sourcing rules, ECI, Foreign Tax Credit, withholding taxes, and tax treaties
